Piola Pizzeria Opens at Mercato On June 16, 2009, the Lutgert Companies announced the grand opening of Piola. Piola is a contemporary Italian pizzeria specializing in thin-crust, brick oven pizzas prepared with homemade dough and original combinations of the freshest ingredients. Piola also offers a selection of fresh made salads, carpacci and Italian pastas.
DeSalvo named Power Broker Winner
Premier Properties of Southwest Florida Inc., Realtors commercial division, announced Andrew DeSalvo has been selected as CoStar Power Broker Award winner. This annual award recognizes the “best of the best” in commercial real estate brokerage by spotlighting the U.S. firms and individual brokers who closed the highest transaction volume in commercial property sales or leases for the entire year in 2008.
DeSalvo, assisted by Matt Stepan, qualified as one of the top brokers in the area based on total leasing/sale transactions closed during the year. In order to be selected for this honor, DeSalvo was measured against commercial real estate brokers active in their region by CoStar Group, the largest, independent research organization in commercial real estate, and subsequently ranked among the top brokers in the market.
Naples Film Festival to be held at Silverspot CinemasThe Naples International Film Festival has announced the location of the inaugural film festival event, to be held November 5-8, 2009 at Silverspot luxury cinemas at Mercato in Naples. For four days, NIFF will showcase the extraordinary on Silverspot's screens, showing the finest films, shorts, and documentaries from around the world, with a special focus on Southwest Florida's filmmakers.
