naplesnews.comModel of the week: Azure Residence 1403 boasts spectacular viewsSpecial to the Daily News square-foot floor plan that showcases its views — even from the master bathtub. The home features family and great rooms, a formal dining room, 1,444 square feet of terrace space and multidirectional views of the Bonita Bay community and its golf courses, Estero Bay, Bonita Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The interior design is by Gary David Design. Azure is the fourth luxury high-rise developed by The Lutgert Companies at Bonita Bay, the 2,400-acre masterplanned community created by Bonita Bay Group. Residence 1403’s private elevator lobby has motion-activated lighting and introduces elements used throughout the home — a faux-finished recessed ceiling with crown molding and a chiseled-edge, random-set floor that continues onto its terraces. Double doors open into the foyer, where the eye is directed through windows in the great room and dining room to the views. The foyer wall has a light faux finish, and crown molding and a darker faux finish accent its recessed ceiling. Double doors to the left provide access to the master suite, while a hallway to the right offers a long view to the family room. This hallway has a coat closet off the foyer and leads to the powder room, kitchen and guest wings. The L-shaped space of the adjoining great and dining rooms maximizes the view impact, with large windows in each room and a trio of sliding glass doors leading to an open terrace, one of two in the model. The great room has a white wood-framed fireplace built out from the wall. The dining room has a pass-through from the kitchen and a tray ceiling with crown molding and metallic brown faux finish. A pocketing door separates the dining room from the breakfast nook and kitchen. The kitchen has the same faint faux-painted walls used in other parts of the home, a triangular tray ceiling with crown molding and faux finish, granite countertops and a breakfast bar. It offers a five-burner gas stove, an oven tower with a black Advantium oven, a paneled dishwasher and side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, and double sink with button-controlled pullout sprayer. The adjoining breakfast nook is positioned in a bayed area that gives it nearly 270-degree views through large windows and a sliding glass door opening to the home’s largest terrace — a curving 607-square-foot screened space that wraps around the nook from the dining room to family room. The terrace showcases Gulf, bay and golf course views and is equipped with a summer kitchen with a stainless steel gas grill and hood, solid surface countertops and white cabinetry. Sliding glass doors to the terrace occupy one wall of the family room, which has a tray ceiling, an art niche, a custom dark-wood built-in and a random-set stone floor. A second set of sliding glass doors open onto the model’s second open terrace. The den and powder room are located in the hallway that connects the family room to the foyer. The den has a wood floor, woven grass cloth walls, a walk-in closet and private access to the powder bath and second open terrace. A custom built-in has a peninsula desk and nearly floor-to-ceiling wood-and-grass cloth doors that hide storage shelves. The random-set stone continues into the powder bath, which features dragonfly-themed wall covering, a glassenclosed shower and a drum-shaped furniture vanity with feet, black countertop and a recessed black marble sink. The carpeted master suite has an art niche at its entry, two large windows and faintly faux-finished combed walls. A set of sliding glass doors lead to an open terrace overlooking mangrove islands, Estero Bay, Bonita Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The bedroom has an upholstered headboard, tray ceiling with crown molding, linen closet and his-and-her walk-in closets. The chiseled random-set floor reappears in the bathroom, where the raised marble-clad tub is positioned under a window, offering the same outdoor scene as the bedroom. The wall-papered bath has dual vanities and dressing table with marble countertops, water closet with a bidet, and frameless glass-enclosed shower with marble floors, built-in bench, shampoo niche and small window. The carpeted guest suite has a walk-in closet with mirrored sliding doors and private full bath with dual sinks, random-set tile floor and frameless shower enclosure. Sliding glass doors lead to an open terrace overlooking a lake and the Bonita Bay community. The utility room is equipped with a front-loading washer and dryer, built-in ironing board, upper and lower cabinetry with task lighting and sink, as well as a service entry into the home. Residence 1403 has been sold but is open for viewing through November. Other high-rises at Bonita Bay are priced from $816,000.
